The Chandler – Tullamore Student Ambassador Program is open to Chandler students who are juniors during the upcoming academic school year. Students will serve as a Youth Ambassador for the City of Chandler, AZ while interacting with their host country, Ireland. Irish students will travel to Chandler and live with Chandler student's families for the duration of the exchange. While here, students will engage in a variety of trips and activities that hope to give Irish students the best representation of Chandler and Arizona culture. Chandler students will spend approximately 14 days in Tullamore, Ireland. Chandler students will live with a host family, where they will be fully immersed in the Irish Culture. While abroad, Chandler students can expect an eye-opening experience learning all about our Sister City, their host family, and themselves.
As a general rule, passports should have at least six months of validity when traveling internationally.
In June of 2019, a group of three Irish students came to Chandler, AZ for a student exchange. Chandler students went to Tullamore, Ireland and stayed for a 12-day visit.

My name is Jake Powell. I am a sophomore at Hamilton High School, where I currently play soccer. I also volunteer at ICAN an underprivileged school. I help out with their after school program. One of my favorite hobbies is boating with my family. We spend quality time together on the weekends. I look forward to the student ambassador program, because it will give me the chance to exchange cultural traditions and hobbies with students my same age.
